I have a BS in environmental sciences and never have considered this possibility.Yesterday I read chapters of a book written by Lang Xianping, a professor of Economics, Ph.D graduate of Wharton Business School. He gave some pretty convincing analysis indicating that CO2 causing global warming is a complete lie. Everything is political and commercial.
First he analyzed where this theory comes from. It turns out that it came from a never-before-heard university somewhere in Britain, and somehow became a global slogan. He cited evidence that the CO2 caused by human activity is tiny comparing to other natural factors such as dead plants or those originally dissolved in the ocean. The truth is, he argued, that long term (say 10000 years) temperature rise and falls are normal, and the current global "warming" (which is only a normal phase of slight temperature rising), as any diachronic changes, is caused by something called sunspot, essentially a sun activity. Therefore, the sunspot activity led to temperature rise, then led to the CO2 in the ocean to come out and increased its amount in the air. That is it. It seems the current version of the story is reversed. Then why the lie? In the West, if any scientist says this is a lie, then they might get expelled from their position(true?). First, we have the scientists and environmentalists applying for large amount of funding every year because of this--let's face this, a lot of government officials are not exactly scientific savvy. Second, he argued that people on Wall Street are getting substantial money by charging those releasing a big amount of CO2 every year. If this is true, then large scale plots as those seen only in the fiction, do exist in real life.

HOW PRECISE?
If you think that our body acts in some kind of randomness, think again. I have recently experienced the power of biological clock. I flew to the US and China within 10 days, and that’s what happened: I wake up every morning between 6:30 to 7am. Never once I wake up after 7am, even when I went to bed at 1am. Amazing ah?The brain does all the work, accustomed to the light and dark pattern of the day. Next Day I went to bed a little late (I think I fell asleep around 11pm instead of 10) and I got up around 5am to go to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. Alas! The clock is tilted. I then work up at 8:30 instead of 7. But, it turns out that I felt more tired–would felt better if waking up at 7am. It has to do with the quality of sleep. Sleep:More is Less? Sometimes I do feel that in the morning sleeping 1 or 2 hours more could only make you more tired instead of regaining your energy. This implies that timing, or the time period is extremely important in sleeping, which is what traditional Chinese doctors are always saying. But I always feel that my best sleep time comes in the afternoon when I take a nap. But Chinese medicine tells us sleeping before and around midnight (and possibly around noon) is a golden treasure when your body is repairing your internal organs. So if you can still fall asleep early in the night, you should definitely do it. Interesting. Remind me of Pittsburgh International Airport. Also, there were mourning at the San Litun Apple Store today, the largest official Apple store in Beijing.
Today they announced the death of Steve Jobs. A few years ago I was just hearing about his transplant with the liver, and a while ago he announced his retirement, so I guess it's not really a surprise. Needless to say, in recent years, he and Kai-Fu Lee are the most inspiring men that were influencing the Chinese youth, and I'm sure worldwide. We have to admire his creativity and vision. Also, we should not forget how important it is to stay healthy, because death doesn't care whether you're a great man, or nobody.
It's kind of like Beijing with no surprise. I like Jeju better in Korea! Korean food is really healthy though.

f you know the meaning of this word, you'll still appreciate this story.
When I compose music on my computer, I usually like to improvise the music-including the title. I usually type random letters to form the title of my pieces, so all of them have strange yet spontaneous names, such as "nyhas", or "atella". And then one day, I decided that what I did recently was kind of like jazz, but it's not, since I have never studied jazz chords and progressions, so I decided to name my next piece "zazzy"--meaning that it's kind of "jazzy", but it's not, so with my initial of my last name Zhang, I replaced 'j' with 'z'--it turned into zazzy. A few days later I was watching the tv series Big Bang Theory, and I shockingly discovered that this is actually a word. When Sheldon temporarily ended his 'relationship' with Amy Farrah Fowler, he got a lot of cats to compensate his emotion. He called one of them "zazzles", because he was quite "zazzy", to quote his original words. No one on the show doubted what it meant. Then I found out that this word is not to be explained by normal dictionaries-it's just not in there. There are people online who posed the question of the meaning of this word, and they were puzzled how did he come up with it. I was just laughing inside because I have invented some word that the smart Dr.Sheldon Cooper also came up with. I let it go for a while, until today, I incidentally decided to look up another word that I made up, "zasper". I named one of my website with this name, and wanted to see whether if it's a real word. It turned out that in an online dictionary called the Urban Dictionary, it's there, the word 'zasp', which means something like poke a girl's nose. Then I saw zazzy is there too! Here is what it says: ZAZZY-A basic cross between "zany", "pizazz" and "snazzy" to create an adjective suggesting that something is too great to be confined to one word. e.g.:"Did you hear about that trip to Holland? Everyone's coming back saying it was completely zazzy!" There is even a second meaning: something shiny or flashy. e.g.That's some zazzy silver you got there. e.g.Forget bling, I got zazzy. That's the end of my story. Jeju island is famous for its orange. Look! I took this pic with iPod Touch. With great air to breathe, great food to enjoy, I can't think of a reason why residents of this island would not live to 100 years old! Which is indeed true, especially for women. Men, they are too tired from all the sex with three or four wives. They can't live that long!
